Do this first:

1. Write down the problem you’re facing as clearly as possible on a blank sheet of paper. Once you’ve done that, you might find that you have already solved half of your problem.

The less the prompt seems to relate to your problem, the better it is. The chances that it is exactly what you were thinking of are small, but if it does happen, you can have one more go.
