‚Aren’t problems mysterious?‘
No one really knows where they come from; otherwise, they might have names like Harry or Ballpoint. They often play hide-and-seek, making them difficult to find (so do ballpoints, come to think of it). But then, there’s someone—someone really clever—who discovers THE PROBLEM!
‚Aren’t problems fascinating?‘
We want them resolved, which requires brainpower, conviction, cleverness, and that razor-sharp focus we’ve all seen somewhere before. In the end, someone becomes the hero because they’ve SOLVED THE PROBLEM!
‚Aren’t problems enlightening?‘
Now, I’m not into clichés; otherwise, I’d have said, “Aren’t problems super opportunities in disguise?!” Everyone seems to think that. So people start searching for opportunities within them, much like gold miners in the early 20th century. That’s hard work, I can tell you that! But sure enough, in the end, there’s always someone—real creative—who derives a GREAT IDEA from the original problem!
‚Aren’t they uncomplicated, really?‘
No.
But to find them more easily, take a step back and consider this simple description:
The problem is the difference between what you have and what you want.
To solve it, you might consider:
Ensuring you get what you want solves the problem, even if ‘the problem’ itself persists.
The enlightening aspect here is:
Instead of fixating on the problem, focus on being crystal clear about what you want. (Being equally clear about what you don’t want will help refine this focus.)
That’s all,
